For those of you who are regular readers of J. Peterson Garden Design, you’ll remember that I am a part of an illustrious and (in)famous group of garden designers around the United States (and actually the UK). This group bands together and produces monthly blog posts on a particular aspect of garden design. Although I did not sign up for the August post, I am very pleased to uplift it for your reading pleasure! This month’s topic? “Habitat Gardening and Inviting Nature In!”
I can’t wait to see what my cohorts have written–although I garden on a 3rd story balcony, I’ve noticed bird activity around my plants in the last couple of months. I’ve never really been into birds before, and at the moment I can’t identify the species that I have, but it’s been a great learning experience for me as a newb. If you are like me and want your garden to be a place of refuge for wildlife, however big or small, then I invite you to grab your favorite beverage and hunker down to read these posts. I’m sure you’ll come away with ideas, tips and guidelines that will help you in welcoming our feathered, finned and furry friends!
