I know I’m a day early for Wordless Wednesday, but on account of I have a book review scheduled to post tomorrow, I’m all about the photograph today! These harvest-hued flowers were from my sister, Celia’s, Thanksgiving table–don’t you love the mix of purple with the golden tones?

I visited The Blanton Museum of Art a couple of weeks ago, and fell in love with this painting. I’m sorry I didn’t get the info on the artist–damn! not like me–but the shapes seemed to hint at big gorgeous leafy tropicals to me. Who knows, maybe they’re really hands, but no matter–it spoke to me.

Saw this when The Hunky Foreman’s parents were visiting last week and they wanted to go to the South Austin Pop Culture Museum (skip this trip unless you like looking at a bunch of photographs of musicians). I snapped this pic on my iPhone–don’t you think I should do this when the White Lightning (my ’95 Chevy Silverado) needs to be put out to pasture?
